The scotch bonnet is a chilli pepper that we are seeing more and more on the market although the home grown variety is always better when it comes to flavour. The scotch bonnet orange is slightly peppery and very hot although not as much as a Trinidad Scorpion for example which makes it more versatile in cooking and thankfully less dangerous to chilli beginners! 

The scotch bonnet really has a tropical flavour that has to be tasted to be believed and is rather easy to grow which explains why this particular type of chilli pepper is a favourite of chilli producers.
