Developed only in 1997 by the world renowned New Mexico Chilli Institute, the NuMex Piñata is hard to beat in terms of prettiness and the jalapeno-like chillies that you get are just as good as traditional ones except that these rightfully bear the name of “piñata” thanks to the wonderfully bright colours of orange, green, yellow and red that they display throughout the season.
